Honey Bees Help Scientists Create New Antibiotics

A new article published in early September describes how a protein found in Honey Bees may assist scientists to develop a new antibiotic - the first in 30 years. The article is written by Brooks Hays for UPI.

This is exciting news - it's possible our honey bees will assist with the drug-resistant bacteria that continue to plague us! I've always said bees are awe-inspiring creatures, and now they are helping the hypochondriacs of the world get some needed rest:o)
